RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING SEWER SERVICE CHARGES EFFECTIVE FEBRUARY 1ST, 2026

WHEREAS,  the Western Monmouth Utilities Authority from time to time revises the schedule of sewer service charges so that the revenues of the Authority are adequate to pay the expenses of operating and maintain the sanitary sewer system, and

WHEREAS, pursuant to the Rules and Regulations of the Authority and N.J.S.A. 40:14B-23, a public hearing was conducted on January 13, 2026, for the purpose of establishing the sewer service charges for the year beginning February 1, 2026 and until such time as the sewer service charge is revised; and

WHEREAS, notice of the proposed hearing and adjustment was mailed to the Clerk of each municipality serviced by the Authority 20 days prior to the hearing and published in the Asbury Park Press and the Home News Tribune on December 15, 2025, newspapers of general circulation in the area serviced by the Authority; and

WHEREAS, at the hearing the Authority Chief Financial Officer and the Authority Auditor testified and presented evidence concerning the reasonableness of the proposed sewer service charges; and

WHEREAS, at the hearing an opportunity for questions was offered to the public and a transcript was made which shall be made available at a reasonable fee to any interested party; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to the Statute and the Rules and Regulations of the Authority, it was determined that the sewer service charge should be increased by $3.00 per quarter to $128.00 per quarter and $512.00 per annum per Equivalent Domestic Consumer Unit (EDCU) and by $2.00 per quarter to $85.33 per quarter and $341.32 per annum per bulk rate EDCU.  The Low-Income Senior/Disabled Rate will remain the same, and
